Dr Sultan Ahmed Ismail, Ph.D, D.Sc is Director, Ecoscience Research Foundation, Chennai. A renowned ecologist and soil biologist, he is a pioneer in earthworm research in India. He has been teaching since 1974 and has several research publications on soil biology to his credit.

Dr. G. Sivaraman B.S.M.S., Ph.D., the Managing Director and Chief Siddha Physician of the Arogya Healthcare, is a graduate from Govt Siddha Medical College and Doctorate from Tamil University. Started his carrier as residential Siddha Doctor in 18 Siddhar Siddha Hospital at Annanagar, Chennai in the year 1993. He started his own clinic Arogya Siddha Hospital in the year 1995. Incorporated as Pvt Ltd Company in the year 1997 Arogya has grown in many faces. Dr. Sivaraman is now Member of Scientific Advisor Committee and I.E.C of National Institute of Siddha, Sanitorium – Chennai and ASUDTAM, Member -Working Group of AYUSH, Planning commission of Govt of India, Member- TKDL Expert group and many key committees of Siddha research.
Poovulagin Nanbargal started in Chennai, Tamil Nadu in the late 1980s, by the Indian Overseas Bank employee Nedunchezhiyan. He was associated with the Amnesty International India. The organisation introduced literature related to environmentalism to the Tamil language. Nedunchezhiyan died in 2006 at the age of 48. After his demise, the organisation stopped its activities. In 2008, nine men, including IT engineer G. Sundarrajan and Siddha medicine practitioner G. Sivaraman, regrouped the organisation.
